Reimagined Northwest Park Completes Nearly 500,000 SF of Leasing 11/2/2016

Nordblom Company continues to execute on its vision of transforming Northwest Park in Burlington into a walkable, innovation hub - mixing its nearly 2,000,000 SF of office space with food, entertainment, and lifestyle amenities.

Three years ago, Nordblom Company began energizing Northwest Park with the construction of “3rd Ave, Burlington” - a 300,000 SF retail walking street located at the heart of the park. Today, the shop-lined boulevard is complete with a flagship Wegmans supermarket, 5 locally-owned restaurants, 20 boutique retailers, and nearly 300 luxury apartments. A 147-key boutique hotel is under construction, and a new 135,000 SF Lifetime Fitness has broken ground. With a focus on food, home, and entertainment, 3rd Ave has extended the work day beyond 9-5, and provided a collaborative, amenitized work environment for the brightest tech minds on 128.

The office market has been quick to recognize the benefits of locating and growing in this newly-urbanized environment, with 490,000 square feet of leases having been signed this year alone.

Notable deals include Desktop Metal (developing 3D printers for metals), Xebia Labs (software delivery automation), and D+H (financial technology provider). Existing tenant Veracode doubled in size to 92,000 SF, and Kasalis grew to 29,000 SF. In perhaps the largest suburban deal in 2016, Oracle renewed its lease for 309,000 SF. Other notable renewals include Zeta Interactive and Dermalogica.
